Things To Do This Spring
Spring is just around the corner and this year I really want to make the most of it, even if we are still in lock down. And so I came up with my list of Thing to Do this Spring.
Is it just me or does it feel like this Winter has been going on forever? Spring officially starts on the 30th of March and I cannot wait!
My list of ideas and suggestions is of things to see and do in the Spring time. Many you can do from home and other are things that we can look forward to doing later in the season (fingers crossed).
Things to do this Spring:
Make a spring wreath
We have Christmas Wreaths but I think wreaths can be pretty all year round and can really brighten up your front door. Use lots of fresh foliage and colourful flowers and maybe even a painted egg or two
Spring is often a good time to plant seeds ready for flowers in the summer. Or even give herbs and vegetables a go. There is a huge amount of things you can grow even if you are a beginner or only have space for a few windowsill pots.
Get your paints, glue and glitter out and have an afternoon egg decorating session ready for Easter. It’s a great time to be a little bit creative and make something colourful for your home.
Make Bird Feeders
Bird feeders are lovely to have in your garden and attract all sorts of birds. There are loads of blog posts and youtube video’s online about how to make a feeder so why not give it a go one afternoon and see what feathered friends start visiting your garden.
It has Spring in the name. Get rid of the dust and cobwebs and even have a really thorough clean out of your home ready for the rest of the year. For tips of clearing out your wardrobe why not take a look at my previous post: How to Declutter Your Wardrobe
Learn a Craft
There are so many crafts out there to choose from and with the power of the internet there are lots of free tutorials and videos to help you.
Visit a Botanical Garden
Spring is a wonderful time to enjoy gardens of all sorts. Make a trip to a botanical garden or stately home and see all the spring flowers breaking our from the deep winter.
Fly a Kite
If you’ve got a day with a decent breeze then this is the time to get out a kite and spend an hour or so flying it. This is an activity I hadn’t done for years but realised I quite enjoyed it the last time I did it.
When I think of pastels I think of spring. So now it great time to make the most of those beautiful colours. Whether its a full outfit or pastel nail varnish or a hair scrunchie, why not embrace it.
If you have a cloudless sky, wrap up warm and get lost in the stars. There is lots of free information online that can help you find the constellations.
Put up an Easter Tree
Easter trees are something I have been brought up with and I really do love them. I simply use some hazel or pretty twigs from my country walk and add painted eggs and Easter decorations.
Go for a Bike Ride
The weather starts to pick up in the spring and spending a day on a bike along country pathways in great fun, plus it’s exercise.
I hope this list have given you some ideas and inspiration! Let me know if you try any out.
